This past weekend I actually brought my camera to a DJ gig, one of my last DJ gigs….I don’t usually do this. As you can imagine, there is a lot of setting up to do as a DJ. I have to haul in my own sound system, connect everything, do sound checks, and in this instance I also set up a ceremony system with a wireless microphone, and the list goes on. So, when you need to be concentrating on all these things in a tight timeline, there isn’t time for taking photographs…but I was able to take a few shots this past weekend inside the Carriage House at Gore Place in Waltham.
It was super exciting that I did bring my camera since the Brides went with a vintage inspired theme to match the rustic carriage house…and I LOVE all things old and aged, so this super sweet!
Now….had I been the hired photographer I would have actually been able to take some more detail photos once the candles were lit and all the flowers were in place. Unfortunately, during the short few minutes I had the room was not yet completely ready. But I was really glad that I was able to take a few clicks before DJing the ceremony.
Shout outs to Boston Wedding Planner Jennifer Cox of Esq. Events, Suzanne from Green Olive Catering, Petalena Flowers, and Clayton Austin Photography.
