Kiss Wedding Books – Boston Wedding Photographer

I can’t believe I haven’t posted on my blog since December!  That is so bad of me….it’s like the holidays took hold and we have been preparing for the Baystate Bridal Expo (our first bridal show ever), and I have been meeting all kinds of new clients, and well, okay, there are no excuses for it!  I have a lot to blog about and I promise that more posts will follow this one….

Kiss Wedding Books! In preparing for the Baystate Bridal Expo I have been designing sample albums. It’s so great to see my work in print. We are all so used to seeing images on our computer screens, iphones, and ipads, but how often do we actually print out our images to view them as our ancestors once did!

The Kiss Wedding book pictured below is an 8″ black leather book I designed to present my portfolio. I really like the leather books.  The pages are very sturdy and you can tell that this book was meant to be looked at many, many, many times over many years. It’s good stuff!

Enjoy these images of the album!  Also pictured are the samples of leather colors, as well as linen that Kiss Wedding Books are available in.

kristin - Thanks Kim! I am thinking of adding another album company too, yeah! There are so many album companies out there for photographers, it is all about finding the BEST ones with the nicest product that fits my clients!

Rachel & Tim’s Wedding – Longfellow’s Wayside Inn Sudbury

My last wedding of the season took place at the end of October.  I was happy to cap off the season with Rachel and Tim’s wedding at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Massachusetts.  October is a busy month for weddings in New England because the foliage is at its prime.  The colors are amazing.

I have always loved fall, I think it’s because fall signaled the start of school.  I loved school.  Call me a crazy kid, but I love learning!  Google is my best friend and I am constantly looking something up or exploring some tidbit of information.  Anyway, I would have to say the fall is my favorite season.

Back to Rachel and Tim’s wedding.  Maarit and I had a great time and Rachel just happens to be the step-sister of our good friend Erika who was of course at the wedding.  Rachel and Tim are so awesomely sweet together.  You can just see in their interactions how much they care about one another and that’s the kind of love we love to see!  I wish them the best in their lives and it was my pleasure to capture these images for them!

And shout out to DJ Jerry B who is not only a SUPER nice guy, but who kept the party going all night long!

kristin - Thanks, yes, I really like the church too. It was the perfect little church, the fall foliage was happening and the sky was seemingly perfectly blue with lots of clouds…..great combination for a nice photo!

Baby Patrick – Boston Baby Photographer

A few weeks ago Maarit and I met Baby Patrick!

Our friend Bernadette of 14 Stories and her wife Jen had a baby and we are so excited for them…and definitely a little bit jealous since we can’t wait to have some babies too….

It was great doing another baby shoot, this being only my second after Baby Peyton a year ago.  I felt totally privileged Bernadette and Jen wanted me to take photos of their new family.

Roxanne & Zach’s Engagement Shoot – Salem Wedding Photographer

A few weeks ago Maarit and I met up with Roxanne and Zach in Salem…long after the Halloween madness was over….thank goodness!

We hung out for a bit at the Gulu Gulu for a beer and a round of Connect Four (which happens to be a favorite game for this couple) and then headed out onto the streets for some engagement photos.

This was my second engagement shoot in Salem, the first was in Salem Willows last April, which was a completely different feel since it was all about the arcade (Guitar Hero) and the ocean.  I enjoyed hitting the Salem downtown streets and capturing all the textures out there!

Kevin & Pete’s Wedding at the Codman Estate

Kevin and Pete had perfect New England fall weather for their October wedding day at the Codman Estate in Lincoln.

These two were married in the beautiful gardens at the estate.  As their guests arrived they were served up some spiked lemonade in Human Rights Equality Mugs that Kevin made with a little DIY savviness.  Since we had done all of the family portraits before the ceremony, we were taking photos of Kevin and Pete as they anticipated their ceremony.   The anticipation before the ceremony is my favorite time, and Maarit’s favorite as well.  It is the point in time when the couple getting married realizes wow, I am getting married to the love of my life today!

As with all of the weddings Maarit and I have experienced this season, these guys had spectacular family and friends there to support them on their special day.  I really enjoy sitting back and feeling the love in the air…just thinking of all the special moments during the wedding day makes me a little teary eyed right now….this is the good stuff that life is made of (the stuff we have to remember during the bad times).   I watched The Kids Are All Right last night (great movie), so I think that is influencing this posting a bit : )

So many favorites from this day, including the festive fall foods thanks to Table of Contents catering and the decor and feeling of the rustic carriage house.  Oh and they had Kickass Cupcakes which are some of the best cupcakes around!
